Brent J. Allison

Brent J. Allison earned his J.D. with a Certification in Maritime Law from Tulane University School of Law School and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal. Brent earned a Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation from Texas A&M University. He also possesses a United States Coast Guard Merchant Marine Officer’s License (Third Mate, Unlimited Tonnage; Second Mate, Limited to 3000-gross tons; and a Master’s License for all vessels up to 1600-gross tons).

Brent is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas. He started his legal career focusing primarily on maritime personal injury, cargo claims, mariner license defense, collisions/allisions, insurance defense, and employment law. He currently now the founding law partner of Gilman & Allison.
