Marc Rose earned his J.D. from William & Mary Law School where he was selected for the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. He received an M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and an M.A. with Honors in International Relations from the University of Virginia. Marc graduated, cum laude with High Honors from Kenyon College with a B.A. in History and Religion.

Marc is licensed to practice law in the States of Texas, West Virginia, and the Commonwealth of Virginia. He started his law career in Washington, D.C. at an AmLaw 100 law firm and then worked for a boutique firm specializing in civil litigation. Prior to practicing law, he served in the U.S. Congress as Minority Staff Director for the House Commerce and Monetary Affairs Subcommittee and as a Senior Legislative Assistant to a former U.S. Senator in the United States Senate. While in graduate school at the University of Virginia, Marc was selected as Virginia Governor’s Fellow and interned for the Virginia Attorney General. Also, Marc worked as a Practice Leader for a Fortune 500 Human Resources Consulting.

Marc has been active in numerous civic and industry organizations. While studying at William & Mary Law School, Marc was appointed and served as Commissioner for the City of Williamsburg’s Planning Commission.

Brent Allison earned his J.D. with a Certification in Maritime Law from Tulane University School of Law School and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal. Brent earned a Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation from Texas A&M University. He also possesses a United States Coast Guard Merchant Marine Officer's License (Third Mate, Unlimited Tonnage; Second Mate, Limited to 3000-gross tons; and a Master's License for all vessels up to 1600-gross tons).

Brent is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas. He started his legal career focusing primarily on maritime personal injury, cargo claims, mariner license defense, collisions/allisions, insurance defense, and employment law. He currently now the founding law partner of Gilman & Allison.
